Features and Options
The 2010 VW Eos Komfort model comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, a leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, heated front seats, a power driver seat, a trip computer, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth phone connectivity and an 8-speaker touchscreen stereo unit, including a six-CD changer, satellite radio, and an auxiliary audio jack. In the Lux model, the wheel size increases to 17 inches (an option for the Komfort as well). The 2010 Eos Lux also adds rain-sensing wipers, power-folding heated sideview mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, burled walnut wood interior trim, a power front passenger seat, and an easy rear entry function.
Buyers can choose several options for both models: rear parking sensors, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, iPod connectivity and a navigation system with a hard drive and digital music storage. The Lux can also upgrade to 18-inch wheels with a sport-tuned suspension and a Dynaudio premium sound system.
Engine and Powertrain
The 2010 Volkswagen Eos contains a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. The Komfort trim level comes with either a six-speed manual transmission or Volkswagen's 6-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) dual-clutch automated manual, which works like a traditional automatic with a manual mode with rapid, efficient shifting. Lux models are available only with DSG. With the 6-speed manual transmission, the VW Eos can go from 0 to 60 in 7.8 seconds.
