2023 Volkswagen Atlas

vs 2023 Hyundai Palisade in Greenville, SC

If you’re searching for a new SUV that can handle all the people, places and things in your busy life, the new 2023 Volkswagen Atlas is the model for you. This vehicle was designed with convenience and versatility in mind, but make no mistake — the Volkswagen Atlas certainly doesn’t lack in style. This model’s assertive shape, impressive size and signature Volkswagen touches help the Volkswagen Atlas stand out in a crowd. And under the hood, you’ll find all the power you need for an exhilarating driving experience, thanks to the 2-liter turbo engine and eight-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic® (which allows you to switch into manual mode to take full control when you want to). As always, all of these features are accompanied by a robust suite of safety systems to keep you and your family safe, no matter what the road has in store.

Your search for your next vehicle may have led you to the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade as well. Let’s see how this rival stacks up against the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas.

Both SUVs are undoubtedly capable, but the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas steals the show. If you’re looking for a vehicle with massive interior cargo capacity, the Volkswagen Atlas has over ten more cubic feet of space available than the Hyundai Palisade. You’ll find an available hands-free power liftgate, a standard blind-spot monitor and available ambient interior lighting on both models, but there are a few features only offered by the Volkswagen Atlas that we’d like to point out. First, the base Volkswagen Atlas trim has standard rain-sensing windshield wipers which come on automatically when it begins to drizzle — a feature that you can only find on higher (and more expensive) Hyundai Palisade trims. The base Volkswagen Atlas trim also includes a standard eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support. The Hyundai Palisade skimps out on its base model, merely including a simple six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat. And finally, only the Volkswagen Atlas includes an automatic post-collision braking system which slows the vehicle in case of a crash to avoid further damage. The Hyundai Palisade doesn’t include this protective feature.
