The drive from Greenville to Charlotte covers 101 miles, nearly all of it on I-85. On a quiet Tuesday in March, that's a manageable stretch. During the holiday shopping season, it's a different conversation entirely. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving alone typically carries 14% heavier traffic than a normal weekday, with the worst of it hitting between 1 and 3 p.m. Throw in Concord Mills right off I-85, and you've got stop-and-go from the state line to the parking garage.
